Submitting an overindebtedness file

Description

You are an individual and you are currently experiencing serious financial difficulties. For example, you have taken out several loans and you can no longer cope with repayments. It is possible for you to submit a file to the Commission de surendettement located in the Banque de France branch of your department so that it can propose a plan for the amicable settlement of your debts to your creditors. The plan will need to be approved by you and your creditors. The Over-indebtedness Commission may recommend deferment, rescheduling of payments, reduction or cancellation of debts. If your creditors have instituted proceedings, the Commission de surendettement may also ask the enforcement judge to suspend them.
