Description
A fixed-term employment contract is “from date to date” when it provides, as soon as it is concluded, for a specific date on which it will end. There is no minimum duration for fixed-term contracts from date to date. However, a maximum duration, including renewal, of 18 months is required. The maximum duration of a fixed-term contract from date to date may be extended to 24 months in cases limited by law: in the event of the permanent departure of an employee preceding the abolition of his position when the contract is performed abroad in case of exceptional export orders. It is reduced to 9 months pending the actual entry into service of an employee recruited under permanent contracts and in the event of urgent work required by security measures.
