Article L. 120-26 of the Consumer Code prohibits a direct seller from receiving any consideration before the expiry of a reflection period of fourteen days. Thus, when you have been approached by a person at your home and you have paid him a sum in cash, by cheque or by bank card, you are entitled to ask for the cancellation of the sale as well as the refunding of the sums paid by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt
