This concept of measurement was fixed by the ordinance n° 2011-1539 of November 16, 2011 which defines the floor surfaces taken into account within the framework of the law 2011-2054 of December 29, 2011. The implementation of this definition began on March 1, 2012, and applies to the issuance of building permits and other planning permissions.
