Description
According to article 132-5-1 of the Insurance Code, you can cancel a life insurance contract within thirty days following the date of the first payment. The waiver letter must reach the insurer by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. The insurer must then reimburse you in full for the sums paid within thirty days of receipt of the letter. After this period, the sums paid bear interest at the legal rate + 50% for two months, and then at the legal rate + 100%. If the “seller” has not given you a complete information notice, the start date of the renunciation period is extended to the date of receipt of these documents.
