Description
You have just bought a used car from a professional and your garage informs you that this car is in bad condition, which the seller did not report to you (for example, it was badly damaged or the meter was falsified). You are therefore entitled to claim the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Article L. 211-3 of the French Consumer Code. The action is well founded since the car that was sold to you is clearly not in conformity with the contract. You may require the seller to perform the necessary repairs himself or to pick up the car and to reimburse the amount paid and the cost of the repairs. You even have the right to ask for compensation for the damage you have suffered as soon as your car has been immobilized for several days.
