Letter of offer to purchase a property

An offer to purchase or “purchase proposal” is used when a prospective buyer wishes to induce the sale of a property that has not yet been put up for sale by its owner. This offer contains the price proposed by the proposed purchaser, and often a period of validity, usually 1 or 2 weeks, at the end of which the offer lapses.
